Teaching your kids how to be godly is a worthy undertaking. You can teach them by living the life Jesus teaches in His word in their presence. But it’s nice to have tools like this book. It teaches great concepts like thinking before you speak. I bought this from Family Christian Stores in Mission Hills. My son is five and he is grasping the concepts.
Parents check this out! Good spiritual food for your children. Just a tip from your friendly Christian Music Pusher.
Enjoy my personal fave from Capital Kings. Blessings!
Forget the fear. It’s just a crutch that tries to hold you back and turn your dreams to dust. All you need to do is just trust!
Profound lyrics from Fireflight from a song I absolutely love called Unbreakable. Just sharing. I am seeing the official video for the first time. You may be too. Enjoy and listen to the words.
In these days and times this song rings so true. Pay attention to the words and tell me if he isn’t completely on point. He addresses prayer on school, removing God from society and”forming alliances with our rivals”
Enjoy! Pick up Love, Hope and War. This us Truth’s hottest album to me. Christian Music Pusher.
I just read this from Lecrae on his Facebook wall and frankly he took the words out of my mouth. I’ve also noticed the comments left by fans.
We simply cannot base our faith on another man’s faith nor raise anyone doing God’s work on any pedestal! Lecrae being the most visible Christian artist right now faces a challenge. And he addresses it beautifully I think.
Let’s look at a few scriptures and then I’ll let Crae take it from there.
1 Corinthians 3:5-7 KJV
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

I’m pretty sure my Facebook feedback is enough for 2 complete chapters in a book. Lol. People are worried about so many of my moves as if anyone else’s moves mean less. I’m not more special in Gods eyes because of my platform. I think many are worried I’ll let them down. There isn’t a person alive that WONT in some way let you down. That’s why Jesus (not Lecrae) should be your hope.
Has “fame” gotten to me?! Lol.
I have a hard time saying I’m even remotely “famous”. Kanye West is famous, Katy perry is famous, I’m just…Lecrae. Then of course I’d have to ignore the various times people spot me out in public and tell me stories of how encouraged they are at what God is doing thru me & the thousands of people who show up at concerts. I get it. I just have a hard time accepting it. You have to understand years ago when I just rapping on street corners and the local halfway house, I could have cared less about being in a magazine. I wanted to impact people not impress people. Now I have to stand back and wonder who’s really impacted and who is simply impressed. Not necessarily impressed with my gifts but with the illusion of fame they perceive I have. I’m just a man with flaws, misconceptions and a murky lens that God is clearing up daily. Love to you all!
Thanks for sharing, Crae. Readers, share your thoughts. CMP out!!
Isaac sings of a dilemma many of us face trying to live the life of a Christian. We sin and put ourselves in harms way. Then we tell God something like, if you get me out of this, I will…
Then we do it again!
God has grace but we mustn’t use is as a pass to sin.
Romans 6:8-18 KJV
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
It will be a challenge and we have opportunity to be right with God as long as we have breath. But we must realize that our goal should be to live for Jesus to the very end.
So in my desire for good music focused on Christ, I have thought about all the different kinds of music I like and wished for an artist like that. I came across Papa San looking at Kirk Franklin’s Gospocentric record label site. I’m not sure if he is still on that label, but I never bothered to listen to him until recently on Pandora. And this dude is GOOD! Not sure if I should trust Wikipedia, I just learned this guy was raised Rastafarian and converted to Christianity.
REGGAE GOSPEL? We mostly associate this genre of music with Rastafarianism which I researched in college for a music project. Reggae and specifically Bob Marley brought this belief system to the world thorugh this music. Now Christians have taken this style of music and are using it to glority Jesus.
Okay, I promised I wouldn’t talk too much on these blogs. Check out a few songs from Papa San that I came across and let me know what you think.
I’ve been waiting for new music ever since his verse on Perfect by Christon Gray. Check out this lyrical massacre from his new album Independence coming this July!
