Hot Hot Album! Social Club – Coogi Sweater ft. Andy Mineo & SPZRKT from their new album -MISFITS 2]

Okay I haven’t bought the whole thing cause I’m waiting for my next check! Haha! But I’m loving this!

Their songs begin with “Social Club is the best!” They set out to prove it with some beastly production, witty and comical flow and still unashamed! Don’t expect a sermon on every verse but they clearly let you know from where their blessings flow and to Whom they owe allegiance.

The Little Rock in Your Shoe

I have a little pebble in my shoe and it’s driving me crazy. But it got me thinking…

This rock is tiny. But it really aggravates me…and it affects my walk! It’s annoying. Why?

One, it’s in a small place that only has room for my foot, socks and nothing else. Nothing else FITS. Any other addition and three is a crowd.

Two, big things come in small packages? That goes for both good and bad things. Even though we take it lightly it may prove to be more mountain than molehill.

Consider that shoe as your heart. God and His Word are your foot and sock. Sin is that rock. That little sin or those few sins have no place in there. It doesn’t FIT. You notice it because it affects your walk…in Christ. No matter how hard you try to dismiss it as a tiny pebble, it’s bothering you isn’t it?

Let’s be honest. Some of us have quite a few pebbles in our shoe and you know how one feels already!

Eventually, you get irritated enough to stop, take off your shoe and remove the rock from your shoe. Do you recall how that made you feel? How was your walk afterward? Feels much better.

Consider what sin, no matter how small, can do to your walk in Christ. Be irritated with your sin! Realize how much larger sin is than you think! Then, stop and pull the rock out of your shoe before these rocks cause you to stop walking altogether.

Consider…the rock in the rich young ruler’s shoe…

And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? Are You a 24 Hour Christian?

A friend of mine once jokingly told me about a time where he had to “put religion on pause for a second” when somebody upset him. Lol.

Have you ever turned your Christianity off? Have you turned it down? Let’s reverse it. Has Jesus ever turned His love for God off? Has He turned his love for us off?


Look at one day of your life. How many hours of a particular day are you a Christian? Showing Jesus? Living His way? Speaking as the oracles of God?

Does your circumstance make you turn it off? Where you work? Your company? Who’s around you? Who’s not around you?

Do you alter your Christianity level to fit your audience?

Think about these questions. I’m asking myself too!

Consider these verses…

Philippians 2:12 KJV

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Luke 12:37 NIV

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

Ephesians 5:15 KJV

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

God does not want us lukewarm, nor does he want us to be Christian sometimes or when convenient. And since He sees you when when nobody else does and we never know when or time to face Him may be, it’s important to always be ready.

Remember, your commitment to Jesus 24/7 will save both you and those around you.
