Adia is an artist singing stories that lead people to Christ with a beat backdrop that Nicki Minaj would love to rock to. I love beats. I love good content and what I’ve heard so far from Adia’s debut album has blown my mind. And she has Gemstones (my new favorite emcee) on a song called Heat!
From her debut album Behind Enemy Lines check out Rags to Riches which features rapper Sean Simmonds. The video features powerful stories of roads that lead to reaching out to God.
This girl might break new boundaries for Gospel music. Watch her.
Adia – Rags to Riches

I kinda like how she goes in on this beat and even drops a little verse in between. Indeed the devil is only blowing smoke. 😄

Looking like a Christian more than looking like the world means a lot. It has effects that you wouldn’t believe. It makes people ask questions and leads people to Jesus because it shows Jesus.
The Word talks about how the apostles were not educated men yet the people knew they had been with Jesus (acts 4:13). Why? In this case it was because they knew His Word. In other places in the Bible it is mentioned how we should walk among the world so that we cause others to glorify not us, but God (Matthew 5:16).
Thus openly being a Christian, a REAL one, has real power and is not only a great idea, but a command. But how does that look? Secondly, why is it so hard to do?
There are things that even the non-Christian “nice guy” might already do. The difference is the motivation and to whom we attribute our desire to do good. Things like going the extra mile to help others. Holding doors, giving to the needy, smiling, giving preference to others and the like. Doing things that catch someone by surprise. Being loving. Being merciful. Being gentle. One of most powerful yet currently non-existent characteristics one can convey is gentleness. God requires this of us and says it in His Word (2 Tim 2:24).
The way you speak can convey your faith immensely. This includes what you say and how you say it. We are even to defend the gospel with gentleness (Eph 4:14-15). Christians should be loving and merciful yet decisive as God is loving and merciful yet just.
Words are potent little game changers. Try saying “blessed” instead of “lucky”. Say “have a blessed day” instead of “have a good day”. “God bless” rather than “take care”. Use the phrase “Lord willing” when talking about the future (Jas 4:13-15). Talk about church service when asked about your weekend. You can go on and on about your kids, your girlfriend or your family right?. Talk about your God and make Him part of your conversation if He truly is part of your life. Talk like a Christian.
Openly defend the faith on certain topics and when making choices. Don’t go where they go. Someone asks you to lie in the office, tell them no. Be open and proud that you don’t get drunk, sleep around AND TELL THEM WHY. When they ask about the hot moral topic of the day, stand your ground. This goes for those who bring false “Christian” doctrine. You never know who you are teaching or correcting and ultimately saving through your steadfast faith. Make the most of these great opportunities to teach Christ.
Do these things and more (this is by no means an exhaustive list) and see how much fruit you bear for the gospel.
But this is not easy. Why? Because we get scared of what people think of us. We don’t know our Bible well enough. We don’t stay in our Word or around Christians enough to have Jesus in the forefront of our minds. Or we are just plain lazy.
Once we work though those challenges and take it one situation at a time, we will do so much for God. The best way is to just do it. Dive in!
These are all things you can do now!
Blessings in your Christian walk.
Enjoy this fresh one from 1Girl Nation.

It’s been a long time. I shouldn’t have left you/ without a church blog to step to. Haha!
So I have two in one day. This artist started following me on Twitter and I checked her music out and it is nice! Now I’m following her!
Listen to Sada K and Chief Wakil, who by the way got a cool flow, with Stand Up.

Texas based emcee Supa is poised to take hip-hop by storm on the strength of his latest offering Who’s That now available on iTunes
Supa is also working on a mixtape titled Back to Basics
"I'm all about truth and a message in the music while still jamming" says Supa. This dude definitely is about the Good News, but you have to listen and understand where he is coming from. The first song "This is My" explains about what his focus is when making music and what he is about while "Soul for Sale" really hits on his struggle as a Christian trying to make it in this industry with sinful expectations and temptations.

Being an artist myself, I kept thinking about it! What if someone made Christian dance music?? Like David Guetta or Calvin Harris, but with Christian themes and content? That would be crazy. I’m gonna do it! Well, a few artists have made it happen and music fans like myself have been the beneficiary of it! Here are a few artists that are in my rotation right now!
Britt Nicole – “Amazing Life”
I discovered Britt Nicole listening on Pandora Music and started to take notice. She has released quite a few albums that seem to perfectly mix pop music and Christian themes almost seamlessly! “Amazing Life” can be heard on her latest effort “Gold” now available.
Beckah Shae keeps on pushing the boundaries of Christian music with ballads, hip-hop soul, even singing over acapella beat boxing with “Scripture Snacks”. Google her! She is nice! Her latest joint is called “Incorruptible” and it a monster that should follow Rihanna on the radio. But this song reminds us of God’s promises through Jesus!
Group1Crew

Group1Crew – “Freq Dat”
Group1Crew, the Christian version of the Fugees (for the old heads) or the Black Eyed Peas (for the newbies). No, this one isn’t really talking about Christian content, but that’s what they do! This record is a clean party record minus the get-drunk, get-high content. Check out thier latest album “Fearless” for songs like “His Kind of Love” that talks about the love Jesus has for us. Rock to this one!
Press Play – “Just Like Lightning”
Stumbled upon these kats listening on Pandora! Not sure what direction they go, but it’s all energy and outspoken devotion to God. They’ve releasd a few albums. Check out their catalog on iTunes. Their latest album is called “World Anthem”.
Yes! The first installment from your friendly Christian Music Pusher! Let me know what you think about these songs! There are more out there like Plumb “Don’t Deserve You” from her album “Need You Now”. That’s it for now. Stay tuned and be blessed!
