Didn’t know Christians were getting down like this did you? Check their whole album out.
CMP out!
Our God is amazing for so many reasons. Yet one of the most important of these is His grace.
What does that mean? Grace.
It is something given to you although you do not deserve it. Nothing you or I can do merits this favor, mercy, grace.
We sin. Sin deserves death.
Consider the adultress in John 8
John 8:3-11 KJV
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
This woman deserved death but Jesus stepped in and saved her. I feel this parallels the way Jesus stepped in and saved us by dying on our behalf. Powerful!
But go and sin no more! Grace is not a free sin pass!
I am guilty of that and I’m sure we all struggle. But thanks be to Christ for His wonderful plan and grace…amazing grace indeed.
Music time! One of my favorite Kirk Franklin joints!
Love,
Christian Music Pusher
Get church hype!!! I love this one!
So in my desire for good music focused on Christ, I have thought about all the different kinds of music I like and wished for an artist like that. I came across Papa San looking at Kirk Franklin’s Gospocentric record label site. I’m not sure if he is still on that label, but I never bothered to listen to him until recently on Pandora. And this dude is GOOD! Not sure if I should trust Wikipedia, I just learned this guy was raised Rastafarian and converted to Christianity.
REGGAE GOSPEL? We mostly associate this genre of music with Rastafarianism which I researched in college for a music project. Reggae and specifically Bob Marley brought this belief system to the world thorugh this music. Now Christians have taken this style of music and are using it to glority Jesus.
Okay, I promised I wouldn’t talk too much on these blogs. Check out a few songs from Papa San that I came across and let me know what you think.
His most recent effort is called My Story which can be purchased at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/my-story/id514475722
Enjoy something shared with you by your friendly Christian Music Pusher! Blessings!!!
I waited and waited and even did a little research because I wanted top see if there was a logical explanation for this album title -to no avail. With a reputation for being vain firmly established, this now seems to be expected, especially when you run with one bold enough call himself hova. The response is a bunch of fans using disrespectful comments to praise this action. Anybody bothered?
Yeezus. Really?
Let’s entertain explanations. Which one gives one the right to try and put themselves anywhere near the creator? The alpha and omega? The all powerful?
None.
It’s not my call to judge but I will say it’s not safe. It’s too risky and highly narcissistic.
God has a special view of he who exalts himself. He humbles them. How fearful it is to be humbled by God. Trust me! I know!
But maybe he has a good explanation. Maybe I missed the point totally.
I am trying to be as non judgmental as possible here.
What would Jesus tell Yeezus about his album title? What are your thoughts?
Cmp out!
The gospel music OG Kirk Franklin, vocal powerhouse Kiki, and Crae assist Isaac Carree on this soulful record. It just knocks. Heater!!!!
I’ve been waiting for this kid to come back and it’s fire!!!!! That beat is bonkers!!! Y’all still sleeping on this blog?? Stop it! Lol
Being an artist myself, I kept thinking about it! What if someone made Christian dance music?? Like David Guetta or Calvin Harris, but with Christian themes and content? That would be crazy. I’m gonna do it! Well, a few artists have made it happen and music fans like myself have been the beneficiary of it! Here are a few artists that are in my rotation right now!
Britt Nicole – “Amazing Life”
I discovered Britt Nicole listening on Pandora Music and started to take notice. She has released quite a few albums that seem to perfectly mix pop music and Christian themes almost seamlessly! “Amazing Life” can be heard on her latest effort “Gold” now available.
Beckah Shae keeps on pushing the boundaries of Christian music with ballads, hip-hop soul, even singing over acapella beat boxing with “Scripture Snacks”. Google her! She is nice! Her latest joint is called “Incorruptible” and it a monster that should follow Rihanna on the radio. But this song reminds us of God’s promises through Jesus!
Group1Crew

Group1Crew – “Freq Dat”
Group1Crew, the Christian version of the Fugees (for the old heads) or the Black Eyed Peas (for the newbies). No, this one isn’t really talking about Christian content, but that’s what they do! This record is a clean party record minus the get-drunk, get-high content. Check out thier latest album “Fearless” for songs like “His Kind of Love” that talks about the love Jesus has for us. Rock to this one!
Press Play – “Just Like Lightning”
Stumbled upon these kats listening on Pandora! Not sure what direction they go, but it’s all energy and outspoken devotion to God. They’ve releasd a few albums. Check out their catalog on iTunes. Their latest album is called “World Anthem”.
Yes! The first installment from your friendly Christian Music Pusher! Let me know what you think about these songs! There are more out there like Plumb “Don’t Deserve You” from her album “Need You Now”. That’s it for now. Stay tuned and be blessed!
